Dubbed “The Lucky Dozen” 12 Syrians will be beginning a new life in Rome as from tomorrow, after Pope Francis visited a migrant camp in Lesbos.
A Vatican spokesman state: ‘The Pope has desired to make a gesture of welcome regarding refugees, accompanying on his plane to Rome three families of refugees from Syria, 12 people in all, including six children.’
Pope Francis was recently in the news, for publicly suggesting that Donald Trump is not a Christian for wanting to build a wall between the US and Mexico. Trump later responded by posting an image of the towering Vatican walls, and reminding him that no refugee’s had been taken in by the Vatican.
