Obama will be visiting the UK next week for his Pro-EU speech, in which he will attempt to advise the British public that we should have ever increasing political power taken away from the British Parliament, and handed over to Brussels. However we do not expect he would be quite willing to do the same, if the shoe were on the other foot, with the U.S
It is expected he will back David Cameron and plead for Britons to vote for Remain. He has been shedding a lot of crocodile tears publicly recently, maybe we shall see a few teardrops next week perhaps?
Speaking to BBC North America, the President said: “Having the United Kingdom in the European Union gives us much greater confidence about the strength of the transatlantic union. Britain’s EU membership had helped make the world “safer and more prosperous. And we want to make sure that the United Kingdom continues to have that influence.”
